Laser Scanning 2022 Toyota Sienna XSE Wheel Wells and Brakes

Accurate and dependable measurements of wheel wells, brakes, and calipers are valuable resources for manufacturers who specialize in customized wheels. This data offers engineers critical dimensions for determining the specifications of the wheel and rim, enhancing both the visual appeal and the overall functionality of the product. Knowing the distances of brakes and calipers ensures custom-fit wheels with proper clearances, preventing interference issues. This is what we did to our work van. We conducted a meticulous laser scan of the 2022 Toyota Sienna, capturing every detail in various configurations such as with and without the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) wheels, wheel wells, brakes, calipers, and other mechanical components. With this data, we partnered with Vossen Wheels to create bespoke flowformed HF-4T wheels for our van, which were finished in gloss black measured 21 inches in diameter. With our compact and portable laser scanner, we were able to access the wheel wells and capture all the required surfaces for verification.
